About NachoNut
Remember what was worth ordering again.
About
While raising my kids, we'd hit restaurant after restaurant and order nachos first. If the nachos were good, the place was usually worth eating at. We rated each spot in chips, 1 out of 5, but we could never remember what we rated where.
NachoNut was built to fix that.
Today, NachoNut lets people rate restaurants by their nachos, or by another appetizer when nachos are not available. The site stays simple on purpose: one restaurant, one appetizer rating, one photo, and no written comments.
Rules
- Rate the restaurant at its location, not the submission
- Rate nachos first when you can
- Use a backup appetizer when nachos are not available
- Use a 1 to 5 chip rating
- Include a photo with every rating
- No written comments
- You must sign in to post
FAQ
- Why only appetizers?
- Appetizers are often the first impression of a restaurant.
- Why chips instead of stars?
- NachoNut is not trying to be another review site.
- Can I edit my rating?
- Yes. You can edit your own rating.
- Can I rate someone else's post?
- No. Ratings apply to the restaurant, not to another member's submission.
- Why are photos required?
- The photo replaces the written review, so people can see what was actually served.
- Why do I need a location?
- Each rating applies to one restaurant at one location. A restaurant with the same name in a different city is listed separately on NachoNut.
- Why no comments?
- The site stays simple and avoids arguments, outrage, and long review threads.
